In this 2-hour Ashtanga Basics - Part 1 workshop, we'll explore the foundational elements that support a strong, safe, and sustainable practice. This session is designed to prepare you for a deeper experience in led classes, helping you understand how Ashtanga works, not just what to do.
Together, we’ll break down key concepts such as breath and bandhas, vinyasa linking, drishti, and the structural foundations of the Primary Series. You’ll learn how to move with intention, stability, and awareness, building confidence in the core patterns that shape the Ashtanga method.
This workshop is perfect for beginners, those returning to the practice, or anyone wishing to refresh their understanding of the basics. No previous Ashtanga experience is required, though a general level of fitness is recommended.
While this is Part 1 of a two-part series, each session stands fully on its own - you’re welcome to attend one or both.
