React or Respond?
The Art of Yogic Response: A Yoga Philosophy Workshop
We all know that moment: a sharp comment, a stressful situation, an unexpected setback… and suddenly, we’ve reacted before we’ve even had a chance to think.
But what if there was another way?
Yoga offers a powerful invitation to create space between what happens and how we respond.
In this 75-minute workshop, we’ll explore how our habitual reactions, emotional patterns, and perceptions influence the way we meet life, and how we can cultivate greater awareness and choice.
This isn’t about suppressing emotions or never reacting. It’s about learning to notice what arises and choose how we respond.
What We'll Explore
Why we react automatically
The kleśas (the mental patterns that cloud clear seeing) and how they shape perception
The space between stimulus and response
Responding consciously vs. suppressing emotion
Bringing this awareness into daily life
Through philosophy, discussion, breath awareness, meditation, and gentle movement, you’ll have the opportunity to experience these teachings for yourself, not simply learn about them.
🌿 Tea and a quiet moment to settle in are also part of the experience.
All levels are welcome. No previous yoga or philosophy experience is needed.
