A 3-hour immersion into the heart of Ashtanga yoga.
Go beyond the physical practice and explore the deeper roots of this traditional system, through practice, philosophy and chanting.
Join Nicole and Ryoko for a special workshop exploring Ashtanga yoga as a complete system - not just the physical sequence, but the philosophy and chanting that support it.
What to Expect
Philosophy (1 hour)
We open with a philosophy session led by Ryoko, grounded in the Ashtanga method and its underlying system; exploring why physical practice and philosophy are inseparable.
Practice
From there, we move into traditional Mysore-style practice. After guiding the opening sun salutations together, you'll build a tailored sequence from that point — working at your own pace, as far into primary series as your body can currently hold.
Nicole and Ryoko will support you individually, so you leave with a practice you can continue at home.
Chanting
We close with the grounding and uplifting practice of chanting.
Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. No prior Ashtanga experience required.
☕ Afternoon tea included, an opportunity to stay and connect with fellow participants

About the teachers:
Nicole came to yoga out of necessity, not curiosity; chronic pain and reliance on anti-inflammatories led her to her first class, where she found real strength and a sense of renewal that changed the direction of her life. Practicing since 2010 and teaching since 2015, her teaching is grounded in traditional method over performance.
Ryoko Jones is a yoga teacher specialising in Ashtanga yoga, Yoga Sūtras chanting, and yoga philosophy. She lived in India to study this ancient practice in depth, receiving these teachings through her lineage of teachers.
